About Us

We're an adventuring FC that is inspired by the likes of the Scions, Sharlayan, and even the Scholasticate.Lovers of knowledge, seekers of truth, and reclaimers of secrets. Aetherbrand is always on the lookout for more talented individuals, professionals, and adventurers interested in the same.

Rules

  1. This is a Roleplay (RP) community. We ask that you keep IC and OOC separate and portray your character in a mature and respectful manner. The opinions, relationships, and even personality of our characters will not always match their players.

  2. We ask all players to be at least 21 years old and all characters being portrayed to be at least the age of 18, both physically and mentally adults.

  3. We're vehemently against any form of discrimination or intolerance on the basis of gender, race, sexual orientation, religion or nationality and require the same of our members.

  4. We have a zero tolerance for drama. If issues arise on the OOC front between FC members, players are expected to handle themselves maturely, communicate and solve their problems. If the mediation of a member of leadership is required it can be provided, but repeated cases of petty conflict may be cause for termination of membership and partnership with this FC.

  5. While we allow the sharing of NSFW content in our discord, it is restricted to specifically tagged channels that require express consent for access. We reserve the right to remove anything we find distasteful or that may cause problems with Discord moderation for whatever reason we judge appropriate.

  6. This is an RP community for a video game. Avoid hot button topics while you're here. I.e. religion, politics, anything particularly controversial. There are always places to discuss that sort of thing, but this is not one of them.

  7. We ask that all spoilers for current patch MSQ be kept to the spoilers channel. Spoilers for other newly released anime, tv shows, games, movies etc should also always be properly tagged, with specific indication of what the spoilers refers to.

  8. Some people use "crimes" to enhance their gameplay experience. That's not against our FC's rules. But as it is an optional thing, we ask that the character you play at the very least resemble what people not using those 'crimes' would see. We also do not allow elitist or exclusionary behavior against those that do not use said 'crimes'.

  9. Upon joining the discord, please read all rules, choose your assigned roles in the proper role channel and please change your nickname in the server to be the name of (one of) your character(s) that you play in Final Fantasy XIV that you will be playing with us.

Areas of Expertise

On joining Aetherbrand we ask that all members select an arena of knowledge that they are interested in. This in no way restricts them from aiding in any particular mission or objective, but provides the interested parties opportunities to join in the fields they seek to contribute to the most.

  • This arena of focus is for those interested in the more martial side of our work. You might all fight differently, but you know how to fight. You are the bulwark for those less-than-capable of defense. You are the blade which strikes at the heart of evil. You are the mage which burns away corruption. You are the salve which mends all wounds rent by the wicked. Whatever might be your calling, you are the sort which strives for mastery of the craft and are those best capable of defending our Star against those which would rally against it.

  • This is the discipline of those which seek to explore the more magical and nuanced side of our Star. Not all foes need to be defeated through might, not all problems need be solved with open conflict. You are the seeker of knowledge that will advance the field of study. You are the one which sees the way the world truly turns. You are the one that others turn to in times of need when that which is tradition fails to provide the answer.

  • Whatever the cause may be, no matter the threat the Star faces, and no matter the risk - there's history still to uncover. You are a lover of knowledge of the more tangible sort. You are not satisfied with just learning and documenting, but you build upon your experiences and provide the tools, goods, and knowledge that will aid those in their objectives. Logistics are your lifeblood, and answering the question "How?" gets your mind working overtime. You are the grease which keeps the wheels turning, and we would all be lost without you.
